Born in Liberia then moved to Ghana as a refugee during the civil war in Liberia. While in Ghana, he developed an interest in agriculture. As a refugee, the UNHCR used to distribute crops with the refugees for sustainable farming. It is where he developed little knowledge while working with his grandmother in the refugee camp(Buduburam). When he moved to America in 2008, he always wanted to return to Africa and invest in agriculture. Luckily, he got a breakthrough when he got into the renewable industry where he was able to save and start a farm in Liberia. Through his vision, he is able to employ most of his childhood friends from the refugee camp. With experience in the renewable industry, Dennis knows the importance of climate change and protecting our earth for the future of our next generation. With this story, it can be an inspiration to young children in Africa and other third world countries. We can be what or who we want to be by turning dreams into reality through hard work.
